Changing Lives Through Education
It is with great joy and gratitude that we celebrate another scholarship distribution by Mujeres en Cambio.
Yesterday, we awarded 111 scholarships to girls attending junior high and high school, representing eight rural communities surrounding San Miguel de Allende. Some of these communities have faced significant hardships and limited opportunities, making access to education especially challenging for their young women.
For many of these girls, a scholarship represents much more than financial assistance. It represents the opportunity to stay in school, to believe in a different future, and to pursue dreams that might otherwise be beyond their reach.
Today, we had another reason to celebrate as we awarded 53 scholarships to university students, many of whom have been supported by Mujeres en Cambio since they first entered junior high school.
Watching these young women grow, persevere, and eventually graduate from university is one of the greatest rewards of our work. Over the years, we have proudly seen our scholarship recipients become psychologists, nurses, accountants, physical therapists, teachers, and other professionals. Each graduate is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a young woman is given an opportunity—and when someone believes in her potential
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Every scholarship awarded represents people who chose to care, to contribute, and to become part of a young woman’s journey.
This is why Mujeres en Cambio continues its mission: to empower girls and young women through education by providing scholarships that make it possible for them to attend junior high, high school, and university and achieve their educational goals.
But there are still many girls waiting for that opportunity.
We invite you to join us. Become a donor. Become a volunteer. Become part of a young woman’s story.
Your support today can help a girl remain in school, reach university, build a profession, and create a future she once may only have dreamed of.
Together, we are not simply providing scholarships. We are opening doors, changing lives, and building futures—one young woman at a time.
